Governor Masari To Appointees: We Don’t Need Erand Boys
Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State has challenged all those appointed under his administration to act as co-workers and not errand boys. Speaking on Tuesday, shortly after administration of oath of office to three special advisers, Masari said his administration would not condone sycophancy from political appointees.
“Everybody is important in this administration; you will earn our respect on the basis of your performance; we want co-workers and not errand boys.”
He tasked the appointees to freely express themselves in the running of governance so as to contribute to the onerous task of bringing about the desired change in line with the manifesto of the APC.
Masari reaffirmed the determination of his administration to restore the lost glory of the state assured that no stone would be left unturned in repositioning the state.
He urged appointees to “advise government appropriately to enable it fulfil its campaign promises,” even as he enjoined them to”help steer the new administration to fulfil” its constitutional obligations.
