The National Executives of The NIGERIA ASSOCIATION OF TECHNOLOGISTS IN ENGINEERING (NATE) confirmed H.E Rt Hon Aminu Bello Masari with a prestigious award of fellowship.


The National President of the Nigerian Technologist in Engineering, Technologist Ahmad Muhammad Yabagi, led the excos of the association for a courtesy call to Governor Masari. Yabagi, after congratulating H.E on his landslide victory of the 2015 General Elections, shows his appreciation over H.E's fashion in technical education and vocational skills as it's indicated in Katsina State 2016 Budget. He further said that, in considering H.E actions, plans and contributions in science, engineering and technology within the short time of his stewardship as state Governor, is a laid foundation to technological services delivery that will be soon benefit the people of Katsina state, and this prestigious award is in order to boost H.E effort in taking the state to higher level of development.

He, lauded H.E's quantifiable effort which he described, will pave the way for job opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth across state. He therefore, requested H.E kind financial support for the line up training and workshops that will have immense benefit to young professional technologists and engineers across the state.

Yabagi, also appealed to H.E for his indulgence in tabling the issue of disparity between HND and Bsc at council of the state meeting, and establishment of National Commission of Technology as is par amount important to enable collaboration of technologists. Yabagi, denoted the issue of HND and Bsc dichotomy is dragging the nation back technologically.

 
H.E Rt.Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, disclosed that KTSG awarded a construction of Technology Incubation Centre for the improvement of technology in the state. Governor Masari, described technology as a foundation of development for every state or nation that ought to develop, as he said, with out science, we can't do technology and without technology we can't develop. Inline with that reason KSTG pledged to train youth in technology in Katsina Craft Village, other technical schools and revamping the vocational centers.


 He also disclosed the intention of KSTG in building the students minds on science and technology, right from primary schools to secondary schools.


He also noted the request of NATE and pledged to give them the required assistance, he therefore gave assurance of the KTSG partnership with NATE. And the issue of HND and Bsc dichotomy will be taken to education commission for resolving the disparity.
 
 At end of the gesture, he thanks the NATE for the honor done to him and people of Katsina State, for NATE tags decoration and confirmation of prestigious award of fellowship of the NATE to his person.
