I Write At A Time Of Great Tension Between Governor Masari And Social Media Community.-By Abdullahi Kabir Faskari

Tension rooted between the social media communities and His Excellency The Executive Governor Of katsina State, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari shortly after a publication made by some unscrupulous people within the state in a bid to create tension and distress. Quoting, and presenting the governor’s Sallah message to katsina people in the wrong way.

I know there's been a lot of publicity about this speech by the misinterprets. But the truth is, So long as the relationship is between Governor Masari and social media community remains. The relationship still remains the same. A relationship that was based on mutual interest and mutual respect, and one based upon the truth that the social media community are not exclusive and need not be in competition. Instead, the social media communities overlap and share common principles. Principles of justice and progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.

So let there be no doubt -- let there be no doubt: Social Media Communities is a part of the Masari led administration. And I believe that Social media communities within katsina state will holds within her the truth that regardless of race, party, or station in life, all of us share common aspirations -- to live in peace and security; to get an education and to work with dignity; to love our families, our communities, and fear Allah in the discharge of our duties. These things we share. This is the hope of all humanity.

Of course, recognizing our common humanity is only the beginning of our task. Words alone cannot meet the needs of our people.

These needs will be met only if we act boldly in the years ahead, and if we understand that the challenges we face are shared and our failure to meet them will hurt us all.

For we have learned from recent experience that when a financial system weakens in one country, prosperity is hurt everywhere. When a new flu infects one human being, all are at risk, When violent extremists operate in one stretch of mountains, people are endangered across an ocean. That is the responsibility we have to one another as human beings.

And this is a difficult responsibility to embrace. So whatever we think about the speech, we must not be prisoners to it. Our problems must be dealt with through partnership; our progress must be shared.

Now, some will see this as an attempt to justify or excuse comments that are simply inexcusable. I can assure you it is not. I have this afternoon all the complex questions from some media agents through my inbox and that brought us to this point. But Alhamdulillah,we are all convinced and able to sort out our differences. In order to move forward, we must say openly to each other the things we hold in our hearts and that too often are said only behind closed doors.

There must be a sustained effort to listen to each other, to learn from each other, to respect one another, and to seek common ground. As the Holy Qur’an tells us, "Be conscious of God and speak always the truth." That is what we should try to do today and always on this social media flat foam -- to speak the truth as best we can, humbled by the task before us, and firm in our belief that the interests we share as human beings are far more powerful than the forces that drive us apart.

This last point is important because there are some who advocate for democracy only when they're out of power. Once in power, they are ruthless in suppressing the rights of others. So no matter where it takes hold, The Masari led administration is the government of the people and by the people and for the people and a government with a listening ears: in a nut shell, Nobody in the Masari Led Administration wants to punish success within the state. bare in mind that, what ever they do,it's in the best interest of Katsina State.

And to The Unscrupulous, you must maintain your power through consent, not coercion; you must respect the rights of minorities, and participate with a spirit of tolerance and compromise; you must place the interests of your people and the legitimate workings of the political process above your party. Without these ingredients, elections alone do not make true democracy.
