Katsina Moves To Revive Ailing Industries, Hotels




The Katsina State government has developed a blueprint for the resuscitation and upgrading of its ailing industries, its state Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Abubakar Yusuf has said.
During a visit to some of the companies, Yusuf said the government had completed rehabilitation works on two industries, namely the Kankia Metal Works and Funtua Brickworks, which are expected to start production next month.
The commissioner reiterated government’s commitment to ensuring that all comatose industries are resuscitated to boost revenue and create employment with a view to providing speedy development.
“With the completion of the turnaround of the Kankia Metal Works, it shall commence production of 6,000 roofing nails per minute by next month,” he said
