The Katsina State Governor, Rt. Hon Aminu Bello Masari has today present the 2017 budget tag "Budget of stabization of the restoration Agender" before the katsina state assembly this afternoon. The pres. (Voice O The Youth) Comr. Abdullahi Kabir Faskari, unbehalf of the good people of katsina state has shown his appreciations to Governor Masari for doing everything humanly possible to move the state to a better state of katsinawa's dream despite the economic hardship being faced in the past 1yr. Government find's it very difficult to perform to the expectation of the people.   But not withstanding, so much progress has being made and identified so far, within and across the state. The " Budget of restoration of hope" in katsina state has done so much in the areas of Education, Health, provision of potable drinking water for both human and animal consumption, Infrastructural Development, Poverty Alleviation, Economic Empowerment, Security, etc.

El-Rufai Lauds Amina Mohammed’s UN Appointment

Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has commended the appointment of Amina Mohammed as the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations. The Governor, in a congratulatory message he issued on Sunday through his Spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, described Mrs Mohammed’s appointment as an excellent choice. Economic Recession Will Subside In 2017 – President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed optimism that the current economic recession will ebb in 2017. The President made this statement open in Abuja while declaring an induction course organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Nigerian Career Ambassadors-designate who were recently cleared by the Senate. President Buhari said: “We are optimistic that the external factors that partly contributed to push our economy into recession will ebb in 2017. Until then, I regret that the resources available to fund our missions abroad will not be as robust as we would like. “We are working hard to turn around our national economy by effectively reforming our macroeconomic environment through measures, some of which were outlined in my budget speech to the National Assembly last week.” The President, who said the prevailing economic circumstances have led to a restructuring of Nigerian missions abroad, reminded the Ambassadors-designate that, “as we are all making g

13 States Complete N-Power Verification..

13 states of Nigeria’s federation have submitted verified lists of graduates engaged under the N-Power job creation programme of the federal government.   This comes as the government prepares to commence the payment of monthly stipends to the 200,000 graduates drawn from all 36 states. A statement from the Office of the Vice President says some of the graduates have been deployed to their primary places of assignment, and payment of the 30,000 naira stipends will commence this month. The states that have completed the verification include Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue, Cross Rivers, Gombe, Jigawa, Katsina and Kogi States.

Katsina State revives metal company to boost economy The Katsina State Government, has said that it would revive the state owned Kankia Metal Works Company in order to turn around the economy of the state. Gov. Aminu Masari, who made this disclosure at the company's inauguration on Saturday in Kankia, said government would revive it to full production capacity for purpose of rejuvenating the economy. The governor said that the factory was established in 1982 by the defunct Kaduna State Government. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the company is to be run under the Public Private Partnership with AMPRI Global Limited. According to him, the revival of the company is necessary in view of the present dwindling price of crude oil. He said that the company was established to produce nails of various sizes, ranging between five and half inches, as well as roofing sheets. Masari, however, lamented that the factory had remained an empty building struct
