Scandals In Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA)
There is crisis brewing in the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), as the former Managing Director, Engr. Peter Egeotomegbe Ewesor, whose 4 years tenure expired on 10th September 2017, has refused to hand over to the most senior officer, Engr. Ali, as directed by the Permanent Secrerarny, Mr. Edozien.
Ewesor has insructed his Secretary to lock up his office, and not allow the Acting M.D. access to official records in her possession, without his consent. Furthermore, he has insructed his Secretary to delete all soft copies of official government records in her computer, and also directed his Special Assistants, Engr. William Meteh, and Enamosah not to relinquish government files with them. To date, Ewesor and his aides have not deemed it necessary to return official vehicles in their possessions. And has repeatedly boasted of his return as M.D. to NEMSA. He has carried on disrespecting the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power, Mr. Edosien. It is believed that Edozien has tolerated him because of his close-relationship with the Chief of Staff to the Minister, Mr. Oladimeji Soforowo, who in turn cajoled the Minister of Power, Babatunde Raji Fashola to renominate him to Mr. President for re-appointment as M.D. of NEMSA. This is in spite of his poor record of performance in office.
Ewesor, has also boasted that his return to NEMSA is just a matter of time because of his benefactor T.Y. Danjuma, and some other powerful forces Buahri cannot say "No" to. The Taraba State Governor, Darius Isyaku, Dr. Dare Awosika and the Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita are believed to be the arrowheads of his lobby-group which includes Fashola, who is trying to push through his reappointment. To date, Fashola has not deemed it necessary to nominate anybody from the North for appointment as head of a government. All those appointed under his watch have come from the South. The Chairman of NERC is even from the same local government with Ewesor.
Ewesor, was an appointee of Janathan who supported Jonathan in the 2015 general elections, and has never hidden his disdain for Buhari.
Please share till it gets to Pres. Muhammadu Buhari.
