Governor Masari’s Speech Earlier Today While Receiving a Rally Celebrating the Return of the President.
Earlier today, Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, the Executive Governor of Katsina State received a celebratory rally at the Government House organized to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari, by Eng. Muntari Malumfashi in conjunction with the APC branch of Katsina State. The rally was accompanied by the APC Band which comprised Rarara, Baban chinedu and other groups of singers.
The Governor expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Almighty Allah for healing our dear President and returning him back to Nigeria safely. He also thanked Nigerians for their patience, prayers and all the vigils made for the recovery of the President.
The Governor declared that although ill-wishers have been spreading false news about the condition of the President, his recovery and return are a testimony that only Allah has the absolute control over who lives or dies. To this effect, he made reference to the famous singer, Rarara, who was also there at the event, in his recent song made to celebrate the return of President Buhari that ‘to be ill is not to die’.
While commenting on President Buhari’s illness, the Governor said that Prophets of God, previous Presidents and other great men have been ill because they are human beings, and that Buhari is not different.
The Governor stated that Burhari’s return is a sign that Almighty Allah accepted our prayers and fasting, but that now more than ever, the President needs more prayers for Allah’s protection against his detractors and saboteurs, so that he can continue rendering his selfless service to the people, as he is their only hope. He urged Nigerians to ignore the unscrupulous elements among us who spread and sponsor the spreading of false and inciting information on various media in order to create sensation and chaos with the aim of disrupting God’s peace.
He further urged Nigerians to exercise perseverance so as to withstand these hard times, because the problems of this country, unsurmountable as they may appear, cannot be solved without undergoing challenges. The Governor made reference to the magnitude of the security challenges Nigeria was experiencing before the President assumed office, after which they drastically subsided as a result of his undying commitment.
Gov. Masari said that PMB is a God’s blessing to Nigerians, compensating them for the series of corrupt politicians that bedeviled the country in the past. And that President Buhari is a blessing because he serves the people without enriching himself
